Request any required target-market conventions explicitly instead of assuming that a translated sentence authorizes unit conversion or technical reinterpretation.
Illustrations, cross-references, headings, revision numbers and figure captions can be as important as the paragraphs. State whether the deliverable must preserve layout, support subsequent edits or follow an existing document version. Ask separately about any desktop-publishing or subject-expert review requirement.
